In early years, guidelines and classroom rules for student behavior should be simple and consistent, and should include rationales so children can understand that rules are designed to help and protect them and all members of the classroom community. In our classroom, it is important for each student to adhere to this set of rules in order to have a safe and caring environment, which is not only important to your child’s academic learning, but to their social growth as well. It is important that each student get an opportunity to learn and grow together, which is why they will need to know and follow these rules.
